Senior Product Manager

A part-time, leadership-oriented role providing strategic direction for our SaaS platform, used widely across UK government organisations.

You will be the senior point of contact for public-sector stakeholders, set the direction for delivery and implementation, and oversee a Junior Product Manager who handles the day-to-day operational work. As you will be handling sensitive data, attention to detail, discretion and a strong sense of accountability are essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the senior point of contact for government stakeholders on strategic matters
  • Own the product roadmap and prioritisation decisions
  • Oversee delivery of platform updates, fixes and new features
  • Set the approach for new client implementations and review progress
  • Provide direction and oversight to the Junior Product Manager
  • Handle escalations from clients and internal teams
  • Translate stakeholder feedback into product strategy

Essential experience & skills

  • Demonstrable senior-level experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Project Manager
  • Strong stakeholder management at decision-maker level
  • Experience overseeing delivery and implementation of SaaS or ICT products
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Willingness and ability to obtain clearance (BPSS, SC or higher)

Desirable experience

  • Previous work with UK government, public sector or other regulated organisations
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or the GDS Service Standard
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
  • Existing security clearance (BPSS, SC or higher)
